Susanna is a biotech veteran turned to the world of arts…
Susanna has more than 20 years of extensive strategic and operational experience growing companies.
Susanna has served as Chief Operating Officer at bluebird bio from 2016 to 2019, where, among other responsibilities, she led the advancement of the Severe Genetic Disease portfolio. Prior to joining bluebird, Susanna was at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, most recently serving as SVP Strategy and Business Integration. At Alnylam, Susanna led, drove and participated with increasing responsibilities in growing the company from its early development of the RNAi technology into a robust platform and product portfolio, to the advancement of products towards registration and launch preparation, including management of strategic partnerships and leadership for organizational capability development. Prior to her time at Alnylam, Susanna held positions in corporate strategy and in business operations at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, and in management consulting in the Pharmaceutical practice of Accenture.
Susanna has a degree in Economics and Business Management from Università Bocconi, Milan, Italy and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management.

Chiara Gatti is an art historian and critic specializing in modern and contemporary art. For eighteen years, she has written for the cultural section of the Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica. She is a member of the scientific committee of Villa dei Cedri in Bellinzona (CH) and an art consultant and curator for the Art Museum in Mendrisio (CH), and curator of texts and monographic exhibitions devoted to the work of, among others, Manet, Wildt, Amisani, Bucci, Rouault, Boccioni, Mirò, Carrà, Giacometti, Melotti, Baj, Ferroni, Lai. She has written essays on textile art, Futurist women, and the relationship between Alberto Giacometti’s sculpture and archaic art. She published the essay entitled Dentro la cornice, which focuses on the contemporary art system, alongside Enrico De Pascale (Mondadori publishers, 2008), and the essay entitled Insolite natività (Interlinea publishers, 2012). She was curator of the first and second volume of the series devoted to Leone Lodi, La Milano scolpita da Leone Lodi (Officina Libraria publishers, 2015) and, with Lea Vergine, wrote L’arte non è faccenda di persone perbene (Rizzoli publishers, 2016).
