He is a historian of Contemporary Art at the University of Pavia. Since 1995 his scientific research focused on Lucio Fontana, in interdisciplinary essays and analysis, working in progress (Lucio Fontana, la scultura architettonica negli anni trenta, 1995; Lucio Fontana. Lettere 1919-1968, 1999; Lucio Fontana. Torso italico, 2014). Since 2006 until 2012 he has been a chief curator of Ambrosetti Arte Contemporanea Foundation (Palazzolo sull’Oglio, BS). Since 2015 he is a scientific director of the Dadamaino Archive and a member of the Association for Filippo de Pisis in Milan. Since 2015 he is a vice-president of the Rosanna and Tino Scovenna Foundation in Broni.
He is art critic and curator, Web Director of Espoarte magazine and Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brescia Santagiulia for the class of Art System (2011- 2014); Phenomenology of Contemporary Art (2014-15); Phenomenology of Image (2014-2018); Didactics of Artistic Languages (from 2015-present). He teach History of Art for CPIA ex CTP in Desio – Monza (2002-2017), Centro Linguistico San Clemente in Brescia (2008-2017), and Civica Scuola d’Arte “Federico Faruffini” in Sesto San Giovanni – Milano (2008-present). He write also for contemporary art magazine Titolo (2002-present), Espoarte (2005-present) and Segno and Juliet (2005-2013). He also regularly holds conferences and art courses for public and private institutions. He is one of the curators of the Artivisive Award of San Fedele in Milan, aimed at young artists.
